It’s time to put away the toys for the winter and look back and see what went well and what we can do better. Definitely more promotion of the events for next season. Definitely planning to get braver with the weather. Look for events at Fairview and Friendship of course and the Rose Garden will be back as well. We will probably just stick to June, July and August next year in the parks with a possible new venue addition and the possibility of doing rain outs at the Ice House on Sand Island.

Check back here regularly in the next 2 months for lots of poll questions to get your feedback on some ideas. Always looking for themes to go with the movie titles and hoping to bring Spirithoops back for the whole season next year.

The Saturday night showing of Igor after the Alex Lemonade Stand event is postponed until spring due to rain, cold temps and I can’t believe I’m typing this….possible snow. Check back for a spring date. Let’s hope it warms up for the Halloween Parade!!

Bring a chair/blanket and wear a sweater/sweatshirt and watch those meddling kids solve another mystery this Saturday at Friendship Park. The movie will start at 7pm. Remember, it’s dark early now! Don’t forget to bring a hankering for hot buttery popcorn and hot dogs from the Friends of Friendship Park!

The weather is still fighting us this year! Tonight’s forecast is for thundershowers at 5 and 7pm so we have to push this to tomorrow night at Fairview Park. Forecast is much better. Show starts at 7 and probably done by 8:30 so it’s not too late on a school night. Sorry, can’t change the skies.

Ruh Ro! Grab the kids, some sweatshirts and sweaters and chairs/blankets and get over to Fairview Park on Saturday Night for a showing of Scooby Doo! Don’t forget, it gets dark much earlier now and we start at Twilight so come early. Show will start at 7pm. Come early and have some Scooby Snacks (Hot Dogs, Soda, Hot Buttery Popcorn and more).

Jinkies! I almost forgot…………..come early and see the Mystery Machine and a real Great Dane named Scooby Doo! Bring your cameras

Finally, the weather is working in our favor! Skies will clear today as the day goes and Iron Man will finally be seen in Fairview Park tonight. Twilight is around 7:34 tonight so the show should start between 7:30 and 8pm tonight.

Don’t forget to bring your appetite as the Fairview Blockwatch will have hot dogs, hot buttery popcorn and drinks for you!

Due to iffy weather and school being back in session, we are moving Iron Man to Friday night, September 18th with a rain date of Sept 19th. No Liberty home game those nights either. Let’s cross our fingers for good weather for our Iron Friend! If not, we will have to push this to next year.

We will send a flyer home with school kids promoting this and the October schedule.

The epic battle will take place tonight at Friendship Park. CAT is having a bike derby prior to the movie. With Fall approaching, it’s getting dark earlier allowing us to roll the movie earlier. Look for an 8pm start to the movie tonight and a wrap about 9:30pm.

Tomorrow night, look forward to Iron Man over at Fairview Park. Same thing with regard to the start time.

Two lines of thundershowers are approaching from Harrisburg and down in MD that will arrive shortly and during movie time. Rain date is next Thursday night. Sorry about the weather!!
