Park - Fairview

Check the individual movie pages for pictures from each of those nights

Fairview Park on the West Side at 4th Avenue and West Market Street consists of 2 basketball courts and a play area with little seating. We recently installed electrical service to make the movie project possible at this venue. With that comes the ability to do other neighborhood events in the park.

Fairview Park used to be the location for Fairview School shown below. Thanks to Bethlehem Area School District for the photo from their archives.

Part of the North by Northwest Neighborhood Initiative is to spend significant money on this park to create the park the neighborhood wants that can be used by residents of all ages for multiple purposes. We are working on some grants to do the design work and already have lined up a source for half of the funding to do the work. Stay tuned!

We are also installing cameras in Fairview and Friendship Park. These cameras will be monitored 24/7 by the Bethlehem Police. They are pan/tilt/zoom cameras and mean that there will be virtual police presence in the park.

We hope to do a survey at one or more of the movie nights to ask the residents what they want in their park.
